Parish Cllr. Rimmer

Cllr. Barry Rimmer joined the Parish Council in 1977, when Simonswood was part of Knowsley. With strong local support to return to West Lancashire, he played a key role in championing the community’s voice. After years of determination, Simonswood became one of only two areas to successfully overturn the boundary decision when the commission reconvened in the early 1990s—marking the first of many important community victories. Nearly 50 years on, Barry continues to serve and advocate for Simonswood with unwavering dedication.
